Tree Planting in Kenya

SERVPRO of La Porte County is honored and humbled to contribute to the worthy cause of reforestation in Kenya. With less than 2% of the country containing trees, efforts are made to improve the well-being of Kenya and the Planet. This Photo shows a missionary planting a tree for SERVPRO on June 27, 2019. Local schools, working with many volunteers, are grappling with the drought that has encompassed this region of East Africa. We are proud to not only help local organizations and charities at home in Indiana but to reach across the oceans to help our more distant neighbors. As we participate again in the coming years, we hope to post Photos of SERVPRO Trees growing taller and taller.

Rebuilding Fort LaPLAYporte

When you raise a family in La Porte County, most parents or grandparents know how amazing Fort LaPLAYporte is for younger kids. This past week, the rebuild for this playground started. The work crews were scheduled all week from early morning till 8:30 pm every day. The weather was not cooperative with the rebuild and caused some setbacks, but the community stepped up in a huge way working in rain and mud. SERVPRO of LaPorte and Porter County Sales and Marketing Manager, Jenni Alexander volunteered her time Friday evening to help with the community project. She stated that after all the priceless memories made a Fort LaPLAYporte with her family, she wanted to help make sure that other families could build their own memories there. She said that it was a great experience and she was glad to be a part of the rebuild!

La Porte Employee Baby Shower

We recently had a baby shower for one of our SERVPRO employees - Nichole.  She is a member of our family and is now starting a family of her own.  All of us here wish her all the best with the delivery and the weeks of sleep deprivation yet to come!

SERVPRO's 2018 Wreath Decorating Contest

SERVPRO of La Porte County hosted a holiday wreath decorating contest.  Wreaths were distributed to 10 agencies.  They could decorate the wreaths any way they like to display in their office.

There was a three-way tie for first place and a tie-breaking vote had to be cast. Congratulations to Michiana Insurance of Michigan City for winning the contest.  Also congratulations to the following agencies  for their  2nd place tie, Indiana Farm Bureau and General Insurance Services both of Michigan City.

Thank you to all the agencies who participated in our contest.  SERVPRO of La Porte would like to wish you and your family a very Happy Holiday Season!

SERVPRO'S Elves Help Santa

Santa's elves at SERVPRO sprang into action to help with a top secret Christmas Mission. A group of teachers was delivering Christmas magic to a special family.

One of the teachers posted this beautiful message on social media: “When Jenni (the SERVPRO of LaPorte and Porter County Marketing Representative) was told of this family, she went back and told the angels at SERVPRO she wanted to help this family, they graciously agreed and what happened next was nothing short of a miracle.  She called me THIS MORNING to find out the details.  For them, it was no problem that I was taking the stuff to the family TODAY.  Can you believe, they shopped, wrapped and delivered the Christmas of dreams for this family in one day! “

SERVPRO of La Porte was honored to be a part of this mission.
